When looking to book a portrait session you may be wondering....do I book a mini session or a custom session? What type of session is best for the particular session I am looking for? What is the difference between a mini and a custom session?

Here are the differences between the two at our studio....

Mini Sessions. Mini sessions are short and quick sessions lasting only about 30 minutes. These sessions are when you are just wanting a few portraits and poses. Mini sessions are great for quick events, milestones (3,6, & 9 months), a quick couple photos of your little one instead of school photos or even just a picture to capture someone special on their birthday. Mini sessions are great when you just want a very quick portrait session and would like to save a little on costs. These sessions are only done in studio at Puddles and Pearls Photography. 

Custom session. We highly recommend custom sessions! Our custom sessions offer so much more incentives than a mini session. At Puddles and Pearls we include...

1. In home Design and Concept planning consultation.
2. Portrait session styling and wardrobe guide custom tailored for your family.
3. Professional Make-Up services and simple hair styling. 
4. The portrait session itself. (1-3 hours depending on the type of session)
5. Enhancing of your images into works of art.
6. In-person ordering appointment to help you select the images that will work best for your needs.
7. Professional installation of wall portrait art.

When booking a custom session with us, we try and alleviate as much stress from your portrait day and planning as much as possible! We want our clients to feel pampered and that all they have to do on the day of session is show up. We take our time with our sessions; you will never feel rushed or that you weren't able to capture the pictures you were really wanting. We always put our client's needs first and will do whatever we can to get that perfect portrait you are desiring. Custom sessions are done in studio and/or at your desired outdoor location spot. We recommend this type of session for newborns, cake smashes, family, and maternity. 

On another note, we still love our mini sessions and offer special pre setup mini sessions during special occasions throughout the year. Our favorite time for mini sessions are when our local community is having events in the area. Speaking of mini sessions....we are having a Spring mini session during the month of May! Our wonderful community in Downtown Monument holds a yearly Art Hop event May-September and we are so excited to be apart of this awesome event this year! Each month we will have a different set up in studio where you and your family can just walk in and grab a quick photo, or five, at a very affordable price!
